The essentials

This stunning left hand drive 1972 Porsche 911 S was imported from the U.S. by a known collector and first registered in the U.K. in 1981.

The current owner, an engineer himself and expert in Porsche 911 models, purchased the vehicle in June 2009 as a rust-free example and with the ideal specification for an RS Evocation, to which the car now aspires. Already equipped with a 3.2 Carrera engine and gearbox; he bare metalled the shell; fitted an all steel long nose bonnet, rear SC arches, front and rear bumpers and ducktail lid in order to achieve the full RS look. He fully reconditioned the brakes and installed a short shift kit to the 915 gearbox, the correct petrol tank for the period, Bill Stein shocks and Fuchs alloys. Finally, the car was repainted to match its original period orange and fitted with correct instruments, new carpets and copy Scheel RS Seats, spare wheel, door panels, handles and period steering wheel.

The re-build was fully completed in 2010, although the vehicle has had minimal use, for fun days only, on rare occasions. It has been stored in a garage, Mot’d annually since registration and fitted with new tyres in summer 2018.

Fully authenticated by Porsche Cars Great Britain Ltd and Sayer-approved, this remarkable Porsche 911 RS Evocation is ready to enjoy.
